just call me a storyteller

I have always been fascinated with stories. Some part of me believes I remember every fairytale my mother and grandmother told me when I was a child, but what my grandfather taught me that sticked the most was how important it is to remember. We would sit on the ground and he would use old photographs that he took with this old film camera to show us his life stories and the ones of the people he loved.

I honestly finally understood the value of a photograph after I lost someone close to me. It was like having a piece of them with me in a way. The day I decided I wanted to be a photographer was the day I wanted to remember and help people remember the most important seasons of their lives.
